Kambaku was truly the highlight of our trip! We loved the lodge and all the staff there. The food was great and they accommodated Julie’s vegetarian needs well. Our safari guides were just the best and were so informative, funny, and just all around wonderful. We saw the Big 5 and so much more — hippos, hyenas, warthogs, giraffe, you name it. We even managed to have sunset drinks with elephants and hippos. It honestly was so perfect!

Thank you for planning such an amazing trip for us. We had the best time and will remember this forever. We will also recommend your services to friends/family.

Your trip to South Africa, designed for lifelong memories

South Africa is a big country lapped by two oceans, the warm Indian Ocean with tropical beaches and the colder waters of the Atlantic. With 2000 kilometres of waves and awesome weather most of the time, there is no wonder why this is one of the best surfing areas in the world. These waters are full of marine life for those who want to explore life below the surface. The marine Big 5 are whales, seals, dolphins, sharks and dolphins and you can view all of them across the Western Cape.

The capital is Cape Town, a port city and a great starting point for marine excursions. It´s also surrounded by beautiful flora and flat-topped mountains, like the famous Table Mountain. A climb up takes between 1-3 hours and is easily accessible for any skill level. And you can go by cable car. The view of the city is pretty impressive.

You can find high quality art galleries and museums in the city. And lots of quality food markets and fine dining.

And be sure to make time for a Uthando tour, a visit to Robben Island or a visit to the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. South Africans are proud of their country and welcoming to visitors and you should greet them by showing an interest in their story. It´s not especially uplifting to learn about the dark history of this beautiful country, but it is important that you appreciate that it is a big part of the country and its people.

The diversity of the country is fascinating. On Big 5 game reserves like Kruger or Kgalagadi you can book safaris all year around. Explore semideserts like the Karoo and savannahs like the Kalahari. Hike mountain ranges, valleys and canyons. And spend a night in the wild, glamping under the star-studded skies.

In this southernmost part of Africa you can have an adventure filled outdoor vacation with rock climbing, bungee jumping, zip-lining, mountain biking, snorkeling and scuba diving. And you can soak up the sun on a beach with a book and a glass of tasty South African produced wine while you consider your options.

Engaging with locals is effortless because of their excellent English language skills. And together with the warmth and hospitality of the people, you will feel very welcomed.
