7 Days Off the beaten track travel to Uzbekistan

 

This 7 days tour gives a unique opportunity to see the life in ordinary Uzbek village, full of joy and difficulties. Away from the civilization, modern amenities and facilities you will understand that we needn’t much to achieve total happiness!

 
 

Day 1 Arrival –Tashkent

Flight from homeland to Tashkent. Our team will welcome you at Tashkent International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will have a city tour or free time.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 From Tashkent to Bukhara

Early breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Rail station to take fast speed train “Afrosiab” to Bukhara. Departure at 8:00, arrival at 11:47. Transfer to hotel to leave the luggage (check-in at 14:00). Lunch time.

Sightseeing tour in Bukhara and visits to:

-Architectural complex Poi-Kalyan (means «Foot of the Great»), situated at the foot of the minaret Kalyan.
-The madrasa of Ulug Beg and Abdulaziz Khan.
—Tim Abdullah Khan – a covered bazaar built in 1577.
— Magok-i Attari Mosque (today, Museum of Carpets) is one of the oldest architectural monuments.
-The architectural ensemble Laybi-Hauz (means «the shore of reservoir») consists of three monumental buildings.
—Ark-Citadel –a residence of Bukhara khans, a massive fortress, built and occupied around the 5th century AD.
-Bolo-Hauz Mosque, built in the 17th century, was a place of prayer for the Emirs and their entourage.
-The mausoleum of Ismail Samani, one of the most ancient monuments in the city.
-The mausoleum Chashma Ayub, or «Source of Job».

Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 Bukhara –Nurata – Yangui Gazgan (Yurt camping)

Breakfast at hotel.

In the morning drive to the Nurata direction. On the way make a stop en-route in Guijduvan, a small village 40 km far from the Bukhara. Guijduvan ceramic workshop is known throughout the country and is protected by UNESCO. Alisher Narzullaev will demonstrate with a great pleasure our National ceramics which are very interesting.

Further, make another stop in the naval region, to visit ancient caravanserai Rabat-i-Malik (XI c) and medieval water keeper Sardoba (XV c). After arriving, visit local house for a lunch.
Afternoon- visit the ruins an ancient Citadel of Alexander the Great and finally arrive to a camping yurt. Accommodation in yurt camping, riding Camels and dinner in a desert around the fire.

Overnight in yurts.

Day 4 Yangui Gazgan –Asraf village

Breakfast at camp. Transfer to Asraf village. In the village you will be a guest in one of Uzbek local family. Authentic meetings and various exchanges between the visitors and local residents are the best ways of cross-cultural understanding; as well, participation to various kinds of activities leads to familiarization with lifestyle of local people.

Upon arrival, transfer to local guesthouse in Asraf village.

The guesthouse owner will show you their facilities. The guesthouse has a very nice garden, where you can spend some time to relax. Lunch at the guesthouse.

In the afternoon excursion to next village named Eski Forish. On the way explore ancient petroghlyps on stones. Visit historic look-out point in Eski Forish, which was used to observe the Kyzylkum plains in order to avoid sudden attacks of enemies.

Return to Asraf and have a rest.
(Free of charge traditional music performance is organised for the groups of above 10 people).

Dinner and overnight at guesthouse.

Day 5 Asraf village –Samarkand

Breakfast with local family.

After breakfast start guided hike up from the guesthouse to the mountains. Particularly in spring, you can see the diverse flora and fauna of the region and admire lush green landscape. You have a great view of Lake Aydar and the vast plains of the Kyzylkum steppe.

You can have a walk around the village to see the daily livelihood activities of the rural people or have a rest and relax on one of the tapchans (comfortable tea beds) or on a supa (traditional loom built tea bed) in the garden. The guesthouse has a big lush green garden with a brook passing under one of the tapchans, which makes it pleasant during hot summer days.

Return to guesthouse and have lunch.

In the afternoon transfer to Samarkand. Arrive by the evening and check-in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 Samarkand –Tashkent

Breakfast at hotel.

Sightseeing in Samarkand & visits:
-The Registan Square (“Sandy Place”), the ensemble of three madrasahs
-The Gur-Amir Mausoleum – the family crypt of the great dynasty of Tamerlane, decorated with paper-maché inside
-The Pearl of Samarkand – Bibi Khanum Mosque
-The Siyab Bazaar, the most ancient and biggest in Samarkand
-The Shakhi-Zinda ensemble, built from early XI up to XIV cc.

At 17:20 transfer to rail station to take fast speed Train “Afrosiab” for Tashkent. Arrival in Tashkent at 20:20. Transfer and check-in to the hotel. Dinner time. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7 Tashkent –Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Flight at ___.
