20 Days Lobuche Peak Climbing with Everest Base Camp

Located at 6119m altitude height in Khumbu region of Nepal, Lobuche Peak easily becomes one of the best trekking peaks of Nepal which can be tried via pursuing the southern face. Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC is a 20-days package which commences with a 35-minute wonderful flight above mountains to Tenzing- Hillary Airport at Lukla whence the real enthralling trekking unfolds. The trail stretches through Phakding to Namche Bazaar crowded with lodges and hotels and crosses Tengboche, Pheriche, and Dughla to reach Lobuche. Conquering the Lobuche summit, we will move forth Everest Base Camp prior to returning back to Lukla whence we will board a flight back to Kathmandu and the surreal trekking meets its end.

Entering the soothing and tranquil premises of Sagarmatha National Park, crossing the milky white Dudhkoshi River, transiting through the milk and gloomy woods of cedar, oak and pine known for supporting highland wildlife with diverse species of floras and faunas and birds, treading along the Highland Villages rich in cultural heritages, having intoxicating views of Nuptse, Pumori, Khumbutse, Ama Dablam, Mount Everest and Lobuche Peaks all becomes the part of the Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC. 

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu:

A representative from will be in Tribhuvan International Airport waiting for you with a nameplate holding your name as you land in Kathmandu. He will pick you up and drive you all the way to our hotel where you will freshen up.

A briefing regarding your tour package will be made and you will spend the peaceful night in our comforting bed.

 

Day 02: Trekking Preparation and Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Pre- trekking meeting will be held early in the morning where you will be introduced to your tour guide. He will suggest the accessories that come handy while in trekking. Save the action for last minute shopping in the freak streets of Thamel which you will visit after the Daylong Tour in and around Kathmandu. 

After breakfast, we will take a full day guided tour of Kathmandu Valley whereby we will visit the UNESCO enlisted cultural heritage sites of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan.

Eventually, we will head to our hotel. 

 

Day 3: Fly to Lukla Trek to Phakding

Board a flight from the Domestic Airport at Kathmandu; we will take 35minutes scenic flight through mountains to the Lukla Airport aka Tenzing-Hillary Airport located at 2804m altitude. The flight itself evokes an adventure as the airport is famed as the most dangerous airport in the world considering the location, altitude and topography. After landing at Lukla, we will be having light breakfast prior to embarking on the trek that passes by the way of Dudh Koshi River in order to conjoin with the trail towards Namche Bazaar. The stroll takes us through the pretty settlement at Ghat to eventually turn up in Phakding village.

 

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar

Trekking for the fourth day resumes by treading along the Dudh Kosi River. Crossing the bridges, we will enter the soothing premises of Sagarmatha National Park. Ascending through Himalayan Pine and Deodar Cedar forests, we will make it to the ultimate destination- Namche Bazaar which falls under one of the biggest villages on Everest Trail and is historically significant for being the ancient trade center for Nepalese and Tibetan traders who exchange salt, dried meat and other consumable and textile items.  

 

Day 5: Rest day at Namche Bazaar

As you will notice, there is going to be a significant increment in altitude afterwards Namche Bazaar. So it is highly recommended that you take much-needed rest from the trek and try tuning your body to the altitude level of the belt. Visiting the local Bazaar of Namche and visiting the nearby Sherpa villages will be beneficial rather than lying idle. Or you can proceed to the nearby Museum that commemorates the culture of indigenous Sherpa people.We will stay in a hotel at Namche Bazaar for the night.

 

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche

A walk of about 5 hours commences with the path that overlooks mountains and wildlife views. Lowering down to Kayangjuma, we will pass by the way of Sansa and cross the bridge at Dudhkoshi River to arrive at Phuki Thena. Bit further from Phukui Thena is located Tengboche which holds the largest Monastery in entire Khumbu Region. 

 

Day 7: Trek to Pheriche: 

Enjoying the scenic views of Tobuche peak, Ama Dablam, Nuptse and other peaks, we will advance forward through several pretty small settlements lined with chortens and Mani Walls to Pangboche Village. To the north of Pangboche is located Pheriche which is a small Sherpa village with its diverse culture adjoining to Khumbu Glacier.

 

Day 8: Trek to Dughla:

Entering the Imja Valley, we will lower down to Lobuche River and clamber the inclined hill to Dingboche. Proceeding further through the Khumbu Khola Valley, we will pursue the serpentine track that stretches via the tapered track of Dusa to Phulung Karpo. With the elegant view of majestic Pumori Mountain at the backdrop, the trekking prolongs through the small wooden bridge over the stream to Dugla which offers the engrossing spectacular views of Thamserku, Nuptse and other mountains.

 

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche:

Crossing the boulders from Khumbu Glacier, the trekking trail advances up towards Chupki Lhara. Indulging in the scenic vista of the terrain, we will lower down through the glacier and tread along the rivulet formed from the melting snow to Lobuche where one can enjoy the exotic views of Nuptse, Pumori, Khumbutse and several other mountains.

 

Day 10: Trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep

The trek commences early in the morning. The trail pursues the rocky path enjoying the pleasant views of the pool of Khumbu glacier and icebergs. Crossing Thangma Riju, we will proceed through Changri Glacier to Gorak Shep Lake which will ultimately lead us to Everest Base Camp. Allocating some of the precious time to admire the nature at its best, we will take a return trip back to Gorakshep where we will be staying in a camp.

 

Day 11: Trek to Kala Patthar and to Lobuche

The 11th day of trekking takes us to Kala Patthar where we can enjoy the sunset view despite Kala Patthar being appraised more for its sunset view in comparison to the sunrise view. Enjoying the hypnotic vistas of Everest and several other Mountains, we will take a trip back to Gorak Shep whence the trail descends all the way to Lobuche where we will be staying overnight. 

 

Day 12: Trek to Lobuche Base Camp

We will pursue the steep rocky track to arrive at Lobuche Glacier that allows the panoramic views of Amadblam Thamserku and other mountains. A bit further is located Lobuche Base Camp where we will be wrapping the trek off for the day.

 

Day13: Trek to High Camp

The next day, we will move for the trek to Lobuche Peak High Camp located at 5600 m altitude. A thorough study of the features is advisable prior to trekking towards Lobuche Peak High Camp as it can be tricky at some parts especially due to being snowy and thus slimy. 

 

Day 14: Trek to Summit and Back to Base Camp

Conquering the summit is going to be the most challenging part of our expedition. We will fix the cables wherever we feel it necessary and cut our way through pike axe and thus prepare for the climbing. We will reach to the summit through perilous trekking. But the climb will be worth visiting for its scenic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Pumori and other mountains. Eventually, we will get back to Base Camp.

 

Day 15: Trek from Lobuche Base Camp to Pangboche

Leaving Lobuche Base Camp behind, we will move along the route to Everest Base Camp which continues through Lobuche and Pheriche to Pangboche where we will be visiting the famed Pangboche Monastery.

 

Day 16: Trek to Tengboche

Crossing the Dudhkoshi River, we will tread along Dudh Koshi Gorge which let us through woods to Tengboche which is a beautiful village in the Khumbu region where the Sherpas reside.

 

Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazaar

The next day, we resume our downhill trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar. Walking past Kyangjuma, we will advance through woods where we will get to spot Himalayan Wildlife. Later we will be arriving at an Army Camp prior to our arrival at Namche Bazaar. On the way, we can take a break to visit the typical villages of Khumjung along with Khunde. 

 

Day 18: Trek to Lukla

The trek continues further downhill as we reach Lukla after almost seven hours of trek. We will be staying in Lukla for the rest of the day as we prepare ourselves to board a flight back to Kathmandu the next day. 

 

Day 19: Fly to Kathmandu

The 35-minutes of exhilarating mountain flight will take us to Domestic Airport of Kathmandu. We will be conveyed to our hotel where we will take much-needed rest in the comforting bed. You can head out for shopping and buy souvenirs to your loved ones in the evening. 

 

Day 20: Farewell

We will assist in your last minute packing and then our representative will leave you to Tribhuvan International Airport from where you can return back to your home or yet another destination. We hope to serve you again
