19 Days Island Peak climbing with Everest Base Camp

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu you will be received by staff members. You will be transferred to hotel. Then, having some rest you can do whatever you want to do. In the evening, you will be discussed upon your arrival.

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing tour

After breakfast, you can delight sightseeing by joining in a sightseeing program. The Exploring program is attentive to make known some tourist attractions destinations which are listed by UNESCO in World Heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar square, Patan Durbar Square, Swyambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Bouddhanath.

Day 3: Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding

In an early morning, you will be transferred to the national airport and take a flight to Lukla. During the flight, you will enjoy adventurous and breathtaking green, White Mountains. Taking 40 minutes you will arrive at Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla. This is one of the best airways in the world ending in an intense landing on a hillside which is enclosed by high mountains peaks.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar

Today you will experience pleasant and an easy walk with uphill and effortless passing over the DudhKoshi River and a wonderful view of Mount Thamserku (6,608m) from the Banker village. Then, you will descend and take a gradual walk to Jorsale, the final village awaiting Namche Bazaar. The walk is pleasurable over the river bed and arrives at Hillary Suspension Bridge. Lastly, you will reach the lively village of NamcheBazzar which is the chief gateway to Khumbu region.

Day 5: Rest and acclimatization in Namche

This is an initial acclimatization day for this trek. According to the Health specialists, they acclaim to stay energetic and moving throughout the rest day even you are doing nothing. So, either use this day for a pleasing hike to Thame or staying Khunde. If not then you can take rest exploring Namche Bazaar itself. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche

Tengboche is positioned on a saddle at 3870m, enclosed by a clear dwarf fires and Rhododendrons. Kwongde (6187m), Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8,848 m), Tawache (6542 m), Amadablam (6856 m), Nuptse (7855 m) and Lhotse (8618m) offers a stimulating panorama of massive Himalayan. You will be staying the Tengboche Buddhist Monastery which is measured as the biggest in the Khumbu region.

Day 7: Trek to Pheriche

The next day, after having breakfast in the dawn, you will continue the trek and head towards Pheriche. Pheriche is a different village of Eastern Nepal of Khumbu Region with an elevation of 4,371 m. It is renowned for trekkers and climbers as it is the break point to have some rest. Originally, this place was known for agricultural and nurturing Yaks. At present-day in summer, people mainly male are involved in trekking as a trekkers, guide and bearers.

Day 8: Trek to Lobuche

On this day you will carry on your trip through the Alpine region Dingboche high settled Luboche. On the way to Lobuche, you have to pass the frozen river in Thukla glacier and ascent up the hill to look out the magnificent views of the Cholatse, Nuptse, Lobuche, and Pumori.

Day 9: Trek to Gorak Shep and Everest base camp

Gorak Shep is a wind-up trail for numerous trekkers in the Khumbu Region which is interpreted as “Dead raven” in Sherpa saying. Day 10: Hike to Kala Patthar and trek down to Lobuche

Day 11: Trek to Chhukhung

On the 11th day, you need to walk a little bit more than the normal days as it an elongated days trek. Chukkang is just a miniature far from the Island Peak Base Camp. You will move to Chhukhung early in the morning taking your breakfast.

Day 12: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp

You will have your breakfast in the morning and start the trek to the Island Peak Base Camp. Island Peak (6189 m) is a gigantic mountain and is not intended for all peak climbers as it is very challenging to climb. Particularly due to its high altitude. Many trekkers may also suffer from high altitude sickness. You can get to see Glacier Lake from the Island Peak Base Camp day as you aim to grasp the Island Peak Base.

Day 13: Trek to High Camp

The next day, you will ramble further up to High Camp from the Island Peak Base Camp. You will be hiking for 4 hours and get prepared for the High Camp to place together preparation for the then day so that you can attain to the summit next day.

Day 14: Trek to Summit- Chhukhung

This is an essential day in the itinerary as you will scale the summit from where you can interpretation Makalu (8463 m), Pumori(7161 m), Lhotse (8516 m), Lobuche (6145 m), Cho Oyu(8201 m). These are some of the fantastic views that you can get from the summit. Again after the trek, you will go back over to Base Camp.

Day 15: Trek to Tengboche

On the 15th day, you will take around 4 hours of hiking travelling some ascends and descends. You will continue your downhill trek from the Island Peal. Then, you will trek to Tengboche, a beautiful destination.

Day 16: Trek to Namche Bazaar

The next day, we resume our downhill trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m). Namche is an amazingly amazing place where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of nature. On the way, you can even take a break to visit the typical villages of Khumjung along with Khunde. You can even visit the monasteries which are very unique in its structure.

Day 17: Trek to Lukla

The trek continues further downhill as we reach Lukla after almost seven hours of trek. You will be continuing in Lukla for the rest of the day and prepare yourself to board a flight back to Kathmandu the next day.

Day 18: Flight to Kathmandu

On the 18th day of the tour package, you will take a flight back to Kathmandu, enjoining the 30-minutes of roller-coaster mountain flight. From an airport, you will be transferred to a hotel to have some rest. Then, you are free today as you are willing to do in Kathmandu.

Day 19: Departure

This is the last day where you will be transferred from a hotel to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. You will return your country or can go onwards your next destination.
