6 Days in Argentina, Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls

Explore the pulsating life of Argentinas capital Buenos Aires and explore the power of nature in Iguazu Falls on the border to Brazil.

Day 1 - Buenos Aires

Welcome to Argentina! Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as shows off plenty of its own culture! Explore the traditional European architecture, the cobbled streets lined with rustic outdoor cafes, the local antique and artisanal markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping, and the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open “parrrilla” (barbeque) in the air. Though above all, Buenos Aires is known as the home of the tango. Be sure to enjoy a traditional dinner-tango show and explore the colorful San Telmo and Recoleta neighborhoods.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires you will be met at the airport and have a transfer in private to your hotel.

You will have the rest of the day to enjoy this vibrant city, leaving you the remainder of the day to explore the historic neighborhoods and enjoy the cafe culture of Buenos Aires.

In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel to be driven to one of Buenos Aires’ most emblematic cultural highlight’s; a Dinner and Tango Show offering a spectacular demonstration of the finest local dancing accompanied by delicious Argentine cuisine and all the malbec you’d like.

At the end of the evening you will be driven back to your hotel. Total duration (dinner and show):3- 4 hours.

 

Day 2 - Buenos Aires Tour and Tigre Tour

In the morning, after having a delicious breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy our City Tour.

Over the course of a half day you will have the chance to visit the historical and political centre of the city; San Telmo with its cobblestone streets, La Boca where Buenos Aires turns colorful and tango is ever present, and the chic and aristocratic Recoleta, where the big palaces remind us that Buenos Aires was once the Paris of the South. Duration; 3-4 hours.

You will have free time to have lunch, and at afternoon you will be picked up from your hotel where you will board a comfortable bus. This one will cross on its journey along Avenida Costanera that is parallel to the Rio de la Plata giving us beautiful landscapes of our river. The first stop will be in San Isidro City. Our guides will take you to visit the beautiful Cathedral of San Isidro and popular mansions habited by ancient aristocratic families of Buenos Aires.

Then you will rise the bus to continue the journey to Tigre. In Tigre we will climb aboard a catamaran where we´ll enjoy 40 minutes tour of the Delta. There, we can see the landscape of rivers and streams that cross forming numerous islands.

You can see the lifestyle of the local people and how they interact with services operating on a floating way in rivers: boats, rafts, water taxis. You will also see houses built on stilts and the house-museum of president Sarmiento.

At the end of the boat ride, you will return to the port to board the bus again and make your way back to your hotel. Estimated duration of the tour 4-5 hours.

We will return to your Hotel in the afternoon / evening.

 

Day 3 - Iguazú, the force of Nature

In the morning, after enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel to go to the domestic airport. There we will take a flight to Iguazú Falls. Estimated flight duration 1.30 hours. Upon arrival in Iguazú, you will be met at the airport and have a transfer to your hotel. Once there, you will have free time to have lunch and visit the city, its small center, restaurants and shops.

 

Day 4 - Iguazú, Argentine Waterfalls

Early in the morning, after enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel to begin our unique tour around the Iguazú National Park, visiting the waterfalls on the Argentine side, scenarios of unparalleled beauty, in an atmosphere of native forest.

A local guide will guide us through the different corners of this Park, helping us to see the fauna and flora, in addition to accompany us to all the viewpoints and telling us the history of the place. The trails, which traverse different parts of the 210-square-mile reserve, offer visitors different viewpoints of the park. Approaching and moving away- and even getting soaked, with the falls, and the different waterfalls that compose it.

From the Salto Dos Hermanas to the largest, the Garganta del Diablo, we will be amazed by the force of millions of liters of water falling from different heights.

The ecological train trip is included in the tour and allows us to access different parts of the park, saving our energy for the viewpoints. In the afternoon, we will get back to the hotel.

Keep in mind that in the park there are different excursions that you can take for an additional cost. The most popular are: "Gran Aventura" and its abbreviated version of "Nautical Adventure", in which the boat trip takes you directly to the base of the Waterfalls.

This exciting excursion is highly recommended to experience the power of the Iguazu Falls. (Keep in mind that during the boat trip there is a 100% probability of getting soaked, since the falls offer a refreshing "natural shower”, make sure that you bring some extra clothes if you want to do this excursion.)

This day will be a true adventure, full of emotions for the adventurous traveler.

 

Day 5 - Iguazú, Brazilian Waterfalls

Early in the morning, after enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will pick you at your hotel to visit the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls, from where we will have a spectacular panoramic view of the Falls. This is the best place to photograph them.

"Brazil requires that most tourists have a visa to visit the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls. Please check with the Brazilian Consulate to make sure that you have the appropriate visa before traveling or you will not be allowed to enter Brazil. For example, US citizens, Canadians and Australians (as well as other nationalities) need a visa to visit the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls. "

We will return to the Hotel, and in the afternoon, at the agreed time, we will pick you up to take you to the airport to take your flight to Buenos Aires.

Once in Buenos Aires, we will pick you uo by the airport and take you to your Hotel, have the night off to enjoy the city and say goodbye to its vibrant atmosphere.

 

Day 6 - Buenos Aires

After having breakfast at the agreed time, we will pick you up (private service) to take you to the international airport for your flight back home.
